Sent a small color suite off to be tested by a friend..these all came from same person who got them from same miner who got them from batalha mine/pegmatite in paraiba brazil..goes to show you never know unless you get a paraiba tested for copper..
first batch are the turquoise..these are copper bearing

next is the greens..nbot one showed copper in the spectra

green gg123fg.jpg

next is the blue-green..only one showed copper in this batch..I was told it was also the brightest..i have yet to get vparcel back so will see

blue g 22ghjy.jpg

next is the blues..all of these showed copper in them

next is the purples..all of these showed copper in them also

okay..so the turquoise, blues, and purples all showed copper..only one of the blue-greens shows copper..all the greens and the reat of the blues greens did not..all of you that have paraiba and don't have a gem/lab report then i woud be wary..like I said..i had to identical crystals tested..one was 6ct and one was 3cts. the 6 ct. facetgrade one tested positive..the 3ct one did not..side by side.they looked almost identical down a/b and c axis..both came from same person from same miner from batalha mine..you never know..so i have come to realize that even though my stones were had direct from brazil from a well respected dealer who in know way would ever try to pass off bad stones it's just a simple fact that no one can tell by looking at a stone if it's cuprian or not nor will I take anyones word anymore without a spectra..with having so many stones tested and having many not show copper..even ones I could have sworn had to be cuprian

Good info! The crystals look amazing, I want I want I want...

Thanks for the heads up Amguy. As I always say, don''t pay extra for the paraiba name unless you have a reputable lab report that indicates the presence of copper AND it is a saturated glowy stone.

here is the spectra for the 5 different colors..as noted the turquoise and purples had identical lines...
