I love the black and white invitations with a color accent. I would like to do something like this but incorporate a touch of deep pink in place of the red.

One, is this a cheesy combination ?

Two, would it be out of place for a November wedding?

To me, it seems this might be used mostly for a summer wedding..

I think it works for a November wedding, but if you want to do more autumn tones I could see that as well. I do not think the color combo is cheesy at all though.

I think the black and white definitely speaks more winter to me. I think the dark pink would look nice with it! Is the polka dot part of it or is that just a background thing?

The Polka Dot is no way involved in any of my wedding decor - yuck not a fan. This picture is from the invitation web site.

I think I will do the dark pink. I am not into the fall color themes.

Now I just have to get FI to go along... He thinks it might be too girly.

He has a habit of saying he likes things and then back tracking and trying to change it.

He wants Black / White / Taupe... too boring

I love those and think the pink would be gorgeous! If your guy is shying away from pink as too girly, might I suggest a deep eggplant? That would be a fall color and might be more guy friendly. . .or I might just be suggesting that because I *love* purple!

If your FI is still against the dark pink (which I think would look lovely) what about adding a silver in with the black, white, and pink? Silver screams winter to me, and then FI could have some accents in silver (think groomsman ties), but all the girly stuff like flowers and ribbon could be in pink.

Sabine - I was actually going to go with Silver ties for the men. I can also do black table cloths with either vibrant pinks or cala lillys for the centerpieces..

The black sounds off for the talblecloths but I saw some pictures and it really looks rather dramatic
