Another insurance question

I talked to an agent about coverage with Chubb today and she told me they won't cover loose diamonds during the setting process. Do any of you who have coverage with them know if this is different from Jewelers Mutual because I understand they will?

Call up JM and see what they say.

Chubb did tell me that if I had the custom setting lined up they would insure the RING, with the understanding that it was in two pieces temporarily until the diamond was set.

JM will insure the loose diamond with the agreement that you will be adding a mounting to the policy/diamond within a set amount of time and that you will provide them with the necessary documentation showing this. I'm not sure what Chub will do.
