You mention it''s "1200." 1200 what?

If I might offer some unsoliciated advice, it looks like you''re willing to drop a chunk o'' change on this thing. Rather than EGL have you considered GIA or AGS? If you read a couple of the threads on this topic you''ll see that EGL stones are sometimes graded a bit soft in terms of color and clarity and for the amount of $$$ that you''re spending I think you should get what you''re paying for!

Also, to give you an opinion on cut we''ll need crown and pavilion angles. You can also analyze the cut of a stone using the Cut Adviser from the home page. An idealscope image would also be a huge help.

Honestly, even at $12,000 you're not going to get a well cut (and cut is KEY!) 3 carat stone from anyone, including EGL. Do a quick search on the home page for stones and see what sort of prices come back. Definitely don't want to rain on your parade but one of the great things about this site is knowledge so people should be educated about what they're buying.

ETA: I just ran a quick search for you and even in EGL a stone like that would run you $20K or so. Have you seen this thing with your own eyes?
