I found this asscher. The IS picture seems to show darkness in the center. I''m not sure if it will result in contrast or a dead look. The vendor asures me that the stone is eye clean, no milkyness or oily due to the flourescence. He also said that the lab tech that took the analysis says that it has great fire and blilliance. From the stats and the IS image what''s your opinion? Oh, the price is under 8k.

Carat: 1.70
Color: E
Clarity SI1
GIA Cert
Depth: 70.0%
Table: 61%
Polish: EX
Sym: EX
Girdle: ST to T
Cutlet: None
Flour: Very Strong
Measurements: 6.66 x 6.46 x 4.92
Ratio: 1.03

Any input is greatly appreciated

I''m not at all an expert, but I prefer the look of thicker windmills. These are too thin for my tastes.

It does look thin

Windmills are a preference thing, so if you like thinner ones, that is your call. However, I would totally pass on this stone because of the dark center. You can do much better!

Also some other red flags: A little deep, the SI1 can be an issue (you really need to verify it is eye clean), and the 1.03 ratio is not square enough for my tastes. With the money you are going to drop for a 1.7 you should keep looking. Good luck!

ditto
With the tiny windmills the dark area is a bit big.
With larger windmills it would be fine.
