Anniversary gift idea

It's a quiet night at Chez Rosebloom so I've been lurking around some new forums. And while reading a thread in LIW, learned about a calendar countdown website which I checked out to discover that Christmas is DH's and my 5555 day anniversary (from when we started dating).

I think he'll find this pretty cool. I'd love to get him some kind of 5555 anniversary gift. But I'm out of creative gift energy. He loves watches, video games, Star Wars, jelly beans, good Scotch. He's the most devoted dad. Anyone have any ideas?

Hmm what are his hobbies?

For me, anything whatsoever to do with fishing, or rugby, will go down just fiiiiiine.

Technology anything usually goes down pretty well.

I always think I'm going to get him a nice sound system (currently we don't have a good one) a new fancier camera or a comfy chair for tele-watching (which sounds dull, but i"m sure he'd love a special chair all his own).

However, I never get around to any of these things lol.

He always wants new tackle boxes, fancy fishing rods and rugby 'stuff'.

Lara, I just realized that I never thanked you for the ideas!

Since I got him hobby/fun stuff for Christmas, I decided to do a list of "55 things I love about you..." for our 5,555 day anniversary. I was afraid it might be too cheesy but I made some of them funny and it was a BIG hit. Yay!

It was a great exercise for me too as it reminded me just how in love I am!

Rosebloom sorry if I didn't respond with any ideas when you posted in LIW...I think the 55 reasons was a great idea! I did that for SO on his birthday this year and I agree, it was a great reminder to myself of why I love him

I need to try that countdown calendar thing. Just sharing my thoughtful gift in case anyone else is looking for something

i've bought this for my SO...well he doesn't know it yet I have been filling it out little by little and plan on giving it to him next July for our 2 year anniversary - hopefully i can finish it by then!
