anniversary/eternity band -- % circumference for stones?

I having an anniversary band made (10 point carre'' stones, channel set in platinum band, to go with her Asscher solitaire). How far around the band should the stones extend so that she will generally always see and show stones? Can I get away with 2/3 circumference or do I need to go 3/4?
