Ha, you're the second person to query who I had in my sights today Gemgirl! I'm pleased to say I am rarely adversarial or combative these days. Who has the time!

Hey there LV :wavey: How's your garden doing following last year's tear out? Has there been a gardening thread this year? I'm so out of touch with PS. Will have to pay more attention!

If there's no garden thread, give me a quick update here. My thread, my rules right!

And constructed for no other good reason than because "he could". I'd like to see these go to a museum one day.

There is a guy who today constructs amazing precision engineering at his jewellery bench, and his jewellery is amazing too: http://hansmeevis.blogspot.com/

Junebug, I know exactly what you mean. I was already bowled over by the engineering, but when the commentator said the bird had real feathers, that just took it to a whole other level for me!!

And here's another gardening chum! How are you ADG? How is your garden this year? Any major projects in that vast space of yours.

Update from the Gailey camp is that we moved from Alberta to Ontario :-( I now have a new garden to tackle.

OK, just found your gardening thread AD, so I've posted on that. Quiet this year isn't it?

That's just amazing! Thanks for posting... I can't believe the bird "sings"... and those feathers!!

Those are marvelous things, but they remind me so much of "music boxes" that my father gifted my mother back in the 1960's. Gorgeous things, and sounded very similar to what I've just listened to. Well done. I love them! :appl:

I believe the video states that there are two similar pairs in museums now. ::)

I'll have to go back and re-listen to what they said. I thought they said that there were four other known examples but this was the only matching pair.

Mind you, my hearing is nearly as apalling as my memory, so I may well have mis-heard ;)
