For some reason I couldn''t add a reply to my orignal posting... so i''m starting a new thread but this is in regards to a thread titled Dissapointed.

James Allen called me this morning. Someone had talked to him in regards to the thread that was occuring on PS. He wanted to straighten things
out and make sure I was satisfied with the outcome.

I expressed my concerns and he addressed them. He did let me know that he wanted to post a comment on the thread I had started. I said that was fine.

I checked my bank this afternoon and the money was returned along with the fees for the wire.

I want to thank everyone for their input. I want to make clear that I did not start a thread to bad mouth JA.
I was just confused, concerned and upset and needed some advice/guidance (which everyone was able to give me)

I''m glad that all has worked out and hopefully, I''ll be able to find a diamond soon! I''m becoming antsy

Problems happen, it''s how we deal with them that matters. I think everything was explained - I hope you find a wonderful new stone!

Fantastic....... this is what is so great about PRICESCOPE. The PRICESCOPE vendors are as GOOD as it GETS!!!!! And they are PROUD of their COMPANIES giving the PRICESCOPE CONSUMER QUALITY JEWELRY and as JAMES ALLEN showed, he made the WRONG......RIGHT!!!!

They also listened to the PRICESCOPE FORUM responses because they care about what the CONSUMER THINKS!!!!

This WHY I SHOP PRICESCOPE!!!!! And will continue to do so in the future, the people here are an invaluable resource!!!

That''s wonderful mommabear. I hope you find your new stone soon..

glad it worked out.
Hoping you will find the diamond of your dreams real soon!

Great!

My hat is off to James Allen company. I also read the post, didn''t have time to post a reply before it disappeared.

In hindsight I wish I had refrained from posting my intense opinion, until I had read the outcome. Because the outcome and the reply to the thread by (forgive me I can''t recall his name) the James Allen staff...(was it James by chance?) was most professional, sincere, and I felt he handled the post with respect to you Mommabear as well as the PS community. So I would like to tell them their slate is clean with me...their standing with me is just as it was...I am a fan. I hope you accept my regrets to my post. And...What a great website-have you tried their virtual ring tool? Wow. Too cool!

In this situation, Mommabear I hope you feel you have been restored...and sweetie, frankly I look forward to you finding a better stone and hearing about it. I really feel that stone was not right for you, it will fall into place. You just wait...I will wager that to be true. Just be patient, but dilligent.

thanks DKS.
i''m not hung up on the situation. just glad it''s over.
i just didn''t want my 1st experience purchasing over the internet to be my last one.
I''m looking forward to finding "the one"! lol

I am glad it all worked out best for both parties. Buying a diamond is a very stressful situation. For one thing you are buying sight unseen and another, you are buying a tiny piece of carbon for a lot of money.

Its great that you found pricescope to find your diamond. The vendors here won''t let you down and hopefully your first purchase will make you happy for years to come.

I''m glad Jim Schultz made things right. I''ve only had good experiences with the company and it''s a relief to see that they make things right when mistakes happen.

I think it is still concerning to have a salesperson report a stone is eye clean based on electronic images/data only - when a customer has every reason to believe that the observation was made directly by viewing the stone. Not trying to ding the vendor - just think that it should be explicitly stated up front what the assessment is based upon, so both parties are clear about it.

It is positive that the vendor took the time to respond to the problem quickly and ensure the customer got a prompt refund.

Thanks peachster.... i have been thinking about this and debating if I should write the same thing. It has been bothering me and you hit the nail on the head.

I always thought that when we tell people to ask the vendor if its "eye clean" that the vendor is actually looking at the stone in front of them. The communcation between vendor and buyer needs to be more clear. The vendor needs to tell the buyer that they are not looking at the stone, but the image - the same one that is probably posted on their website. It is bothersome for me to think I am calling a vendor and getting a salesperson on the phone with little diamond knowlege telling me "yeah, its eye clean". I know this wasn't the case with JA - but perhaps with others? Is it like calling in an order from a catalog and the salesperson only knows the product by what it says on their computer screen?
