Noticed the crown too. I also notice a lot of AJS's videos don't do much for the stone when its facing the camera but looks great from other angles. I wonder why that is -- maybe the harsh light is responsible.

Shadowing from the video equipment would be my best guess.

I think the camera reflection may be interfering with how the stone looks in their videos. I know I have this problem when I use my still camera.

Explain the crown issue? I thought the cut was great.

It's not an bad cut but the crown is very low. Almost flat looking That typically results in less sparkle. Actually, I'm not 100% sure if it has the same effect in step cuts.
