Check out the views from our roof. If you look far to the left and right of the obvious rainbow, you'll see a faint second one. We had two rainbows and we could see both fully, end-to-end each. That's four pots of gold.

Here's a pic with a plane flying underneath it, and some rainbow close-ups. Don't forget to try and spot the second one!

Oh wow - great pics Smith! We had a double rainbow a couple of weeks ago, the primary and the secondary both clear and bright end-to-end just like that. It only lasted fifteen minutes or so though - and I certainly didn't get any awesome pics!

Rainbows still make the seven year old inside me smile ::)

Magical!

My Mom called me last night to tell me about those rainbows. She said they were the most intense colored rainbows she had ever seen and they were beautiful. I'm so glad you posted some photos so that I could see them, too!

Mmmmm!

I love rainbow pics!

I don't care if physics can explain them; rainbows are Magical!!!

I hope there is a rainbow in the sky when I die.

We had a double rainbow a couple of weeks ago, but it was so fleeting, by the time I got the kids outside to see it, it was gone. I showed them your photos and they went "ooooohhhh"...thanks for making all of us smile!

So happy to hear that your kids enjoyed the photos!

They don't really do the rainbows justice, though. To see two full rainbows arching through the sky was incredible, and they were so intense at one point. It was truly one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

Oh how beautiful! I just love rainbows, there really is something magical about them - I still get excited at 50+ years when I see one - thanks Smith!

When I was in Ireland I saw the most AMAZING rainbows! I was there for a week and I swear I saw 2 or 3 every day. Seeing these beautiful shots reminds me of my wonderful trip and the Leprechauns! Thanks!

Beautiful pictures. That must be the same one we saw here in Rhode Island. It was magnificent.

ruby- You live in RI? I am from there.

In fact, I was in RI this weekend and my flights had to be rebooked through Boston this morning so last night when I was headed up there I saw the double rainbow as well! The bright rainbow was REALLY vivid! We saw one end of it from Quincy when we were eating and then the other from Somerville close to sundown.

Rainbows are still as magical as they were when I was a 10 year-old girl :)
