Amazing French guy saves Toddler!

i just saw a News clip. OMG.
A French guy “free” climbed up the outside of a 5 storey building, just using the balconies like a super hero, to rescue a young child who left “home alone” who was dangling from his apartment balcony.
If they’d waited for the rescue services with their equipment and all that, the poor child would have lost strength, let go and plummeted to his death.
Without even thinking of his own personal safety this guy just climbed up 5 storeys using each levels balcony and some very impressive upper body strength to literally scoop this child up and save him from certain death.

Yes, amazing strength, fitness and courage on the part of the guy, who was a migrant from Mali.

Makes you wonder how the heck the child ended up in that position though, I believe the parents are being questioned by police.

What a guy! I think it's awesome that he's been granted citizenship by the President and offered a job as a fireman in Paris.

I can't imagine our Fearless Leader doing that here in the US.

It's been in the news a lot here... they said mom was out of the country and dad in charge. He left the boy alone to go shopping and then got distracted because he wanted to play pokemon go (!!)...

Seriously ????? There's a charge brought against him for this... I'd personally hope this will be his smaller problem, once mom gets back home.


The fireman job in Paris is a HUGE deal, since it's the elite unit of firemen here. Applicants from all over the country try to get in every year, with only a small percentage getting accepted. I'm really happy this brave guy has a bright future ahead of him!

This man is a hero. The world needs more people like him. I’m glad the president granted him citizenship. France is so lucky to have this young man. He will make a wonderful firefighter.

I’m with you @doberman. I can’t imagine our president helping this young man. He would probably send the ICE agents.

I love this story. And I read today that another hero who saved Jewish shoppers during a terrorist attack in a supermarket in France who was also given French citizenship is helping guide him through his new found fame and exposure. I love that. I am happy the child is OK, and that this newest hero got citizenship. Reading his story, he went through quite a struggle to get to France.

I loved this video. I, too, was happy that he was recognized and rewarded. I couldn't believe the dad just wouldn't/couldn/t pull the child up and that he was playing pokeman go. What the heck. The guy who saved the boy was incredible.
