Hi all,

I''ve been perusing this forum for a few days now and have found what I think is a good diamond. Per the "Info Needed for Opinions on Round Diamonds" thread, I''ve compiled my information into one of the formats suggested there.

Since this will be an online purchase, I''d like to make sure I''ve picked one that will sparkle. Did my research pay off, or is it back to the grindstone for me?

GIA
Measurements: 5.85 x 5.88 x 3.62 mm
Carat: 0.76

Depth: 61.7%
Table: 56%
Girdle: Medium
Culet: None

Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent

Clarity: VS2
Color: H
Flouro: Faint

Crown Angle: 34.5
Pav. Angle: 40.8

I plan on setting this in a 18k Gold Solitaire or a simple 3-stone.

Any and all constructive criticism is appreciated!

Thanks,
TZ

Your research has paid off!! The numbers on that stone are very good. Is there an Idealscope or ASET image available from the vendor?

the specs looks Ex.

Searching the forums confirms that the vendor I am looking at doesn''t seem to provide those. :-/ If the diamond seems like it has potential, then I can have those done once I get the diamond and return it if it''s really bad. Is that a bad strategy?

Thanks again,
TZ

Numbers looks good.

What is the budget for that? Have you check JamesAllen?

Very safe numbers, should be an excellent stone.

Well, here goes. Ordered the diamond set on a 4-prong solitaire, thanks for all the feedback!

Congrats! Please come back and post pictures when you receive the ring.

Congrats!

It arrived today! Any worries I had about ordering online, without seeing it in person, are gone! She''s a beaut! I''m by no means an expert, but this has a lot more sparkle than those I looked at in store, and those were under fancy lights!

Thanks to everyone here(in this thread and the site in general) for all the information and support on such a significant purchase! I''ll be sure to point people back to this community before they make their purchases.

To anyone still in the pre-purchase phase: Read, read, read. Do your homework, there''s so much information here (and it''s overwhelming, I know) but it really pays off. Something doesn''t make sense or whatever, search, you''re probably not the first to ask... and if you are, then ask!

Ok, I''ll shut up now and try to contain my excitement!
Thanks again!
