Am I being reasonable....

I''m shopping around for the best diamond I can get for oh, about 6K US or less. (I''m from Canada and would like to keep it below 6000US to stay within my Canadian $ budget)

My desires are:

Round
AGS0 or ACA
1.0-1.5 carat
G colour
SI1 (must be eyeclean!)

I ''ve searched the online databases of local dealers as well as some of PS''s vendors (WF, GOG, JA).

I''m not finding much that''s within the budget.

Am I being realistic in what I can get for $6000?

If something''s gotta give, I''m guessing that dropping to an H would save a bit of $?

ooohhhh....i DO like that stone. something like that would definately cause some consideration of tweaking the budget.

so i guess if I do find another stone similar to that one, i should jump on it asap!

and, yes, i only need one!

your budget is more than enough to get a very nice stone. if youre willing to compromise or be more flexible with the stone itself or your budget, youre in great shape.

*just waiting our dollar to climb back up in the 90s range...patience patience...

I changed the color to H and found this stone at WF. It''s listed as $6,091 with the Pricescope discount ($6,412 otherwise).
