Jared''s Galleria sent my Scott Kay setting and diamond off to SK to have the prongs fixed and to have the diamond set on 12/17 via UPS 2nd day air. I know SK was closed from 12/24- 1/3 so I know they are backed up from have time off. When I posted on here about the 8 weeks time frame Jared''s gave me for my ring to be repaired and returned and everyone posted that that was too long, I got concerned. I called SK myself on 1/4 and was told that they don''t deal with the consumer, that Jared''s would have to call SK for any info. Called my SA at Jared''s that day and she said she could get back to me with an estimated completion date. I did a follow up call to her on Friday 1/8 and she said that she hadn''t spoken to the "repair liasion" yet but would that day and get back to me.
It''s now Tuesday and I''m a bit annoyed that I haven''t heard back. DH thinks I have every right to call to follow up again, but I feel like I''m just being pushy and impatient. All I want is an estimated completion date (if possible) and confirmation that my diamond and setting did arrive at SK. I know that there''s a chance my ring won''t get back before 2/20, and that''s fine as long as I''m told it''s in good hands. I can''t tell if I''m just being pushy and impatient, or if I have a right to be annoyed at my SA for not getting back to me yet!
