Hello all! I've been looking into diamond rings and a lot of my searches end up at pricescope so I recently joined :)

I would love everyone's help with my rose cut diamond dilemma. I love the clean, tranquil look of rose cut diamonds but I don't like how you can see through the skin. What are some suggestions on alternative cuts (and possibly even stones) to look at? I've looked at cushion cuts as well, and I really like some of the more traditional cuts. The problem is that they are usually not round and I prefer a round shape.

Looking forward to your thoughts! Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at old cuts like OECs? Old world diamonds has tons of great options, but you need to contact him bc lots of the website doesn't have pics.

Agreed; also check out OECs. Alternatively, there are setting options to have a foil-back behind the rose cut or a metal ‘plate’ of sorts, so that you don’t see your finger through the rose cut diamond; you may even be able to have that plate faceted so it appears to return reflected facets back up. If you really love RCs, I suggest researching setting options that can minimize the see-through effect. Depending on your budget, we may be able to suggest some designers to work with on this who have experience setting RCs. :wavey:

xothebijouxbox on Instagram is all about rosecuts, you should check out her feed. She often uses a metal back on her designs.

I was going to suggest looking at Dolly's feed as well. She does a faux foil back to allow for cleaning that is really pretty and doesn't do the see through look.
