Dear Sir/Madam,

First a little story...
10 years ago, 2 lovebirds got married.
at the time, the bird cannot afford much of a ring... he promised the pink bird that he wlll buy her a Tiffany & co. Diamond Ring at the 10th year.

Last week, the love bird wentthe Tiffany & co. and a tiny clear stone cost about $3k+++
With the economy today, who can afford that?

So the lovebird went on ebay and bid on an item... from a person who seem to have sold many things...

here is the link...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=350096254108

I have read many post, especally the one by JHyde
(https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/update-on-my-ebay-purchase-long.4967/)

so do you think this is a real thing?

I will definately demand using USPS for the shipping.

Any suggestions?

I know it ia a small diamond (only 0.41 cts) but it is what I can afford and it seems to be reasonably priced (not too cheap, not too expensive)...

Please kindly help.

Thanks!

After reading many post, I have a concern on this ebay purchase.

Did you get it? I have never heard of Tiffany engraving the stone''s details on the inside of a band. Maybe you can get duplicate paperwork based on the number engraved inside. Enjoy your purchase.

really? I know nothing about a real Tiffany or not.

I have won the ebay item but I did not pay for it, I can always back off now with a bad rating... but better a bad rating than a fake ring.

Can someone who own a real Tiffany ring confirm if they engrave the weight of the stone in the inner side of the Ring please?

While I would love to bring a smile to my pink lovebird... I do not want to spend something on a fake piece of thing....

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

Does the eBay seller have a return policy, just in case?

Not a Tiffany owner or expert but I'm pretty sure at least some styles have the carat weight engraved on the inside of the band. I remember seeing it in pics of some of the solitaires.

Honestly I'd be a bit worried about buying a Tiffany ring off ebay. You can get it authenticated by Tiffany, but if the seller has no return policy I dunno if that's very helpful.

There is a website that does consignment of 2nd Tiffany things and is very reputable, many people have purchased from them... I think it's http://www.signedpieces.com if I recall right.
