My babies are getting much healthier now, the largest two are ready to have their vet work carried out this week, then the search for a new home begins in earnest. The two smaller ones here are still a bit too little, only a kilo each, but their two sickest sisters are big enough to rejoin the family and will be coming home tomorrow night. :appl: I think it will be another two weeks or so before I feel comfortable with the idea of having them under anesthesia.

The biggest of the litter, a lovely boy who romps AND snuggles. Boof is his name.

Exacta, one of our sick boys who has since rebounded very well. He loves laying with me when I play on PS on my laptop.

I love them all, this litter has been raised on my blood, sweat, and tears (and a good portion of my expendable income!).

It's a hard job, but someone has to do it!

Awwwwwwww they *have* grown, so much!!

Congrats Ginger, this has been an ordeal for you and your DH!!! Those kittens are lucky little things  Looking forward to some family shots when the other half comes home!

We've picked up Filly and Jockey and brought them home. Neither appear to be unhappy with the upset, personality wise - both are sweet and able to be easily handled and petted. :)) They were only a couple of tiny hisses when reunited with their siblings; you could almost see the cogs turning in their little heads as they struggled to remember each other. It was rather sweet to watch.

They shared a first meal - and then I noticed Jockey itching. And subsequently found a flea on her. So I quickly ushered my four flea-free kittens out the door and have left Jockey and Filly alone in the spare room. The carer who had them was mortified and said she does weekly checks on all her animals on Sunday and she saw nothing at that point. Regardless, she's dropping off some treatment tomorrow. It can get very, very, very pricey when you have to treat 6 kittens, 3 cats, and two extra-large dogs. If anyone wants to help one of their local rescues, both flea and parasite treatments are much appreciated at all times of the year, but especially summer.

I'm thrilled to have them home. :appl:

Filly at top, Jockey is the tabby in the middle.

:appl: :appl: :appl: for a fuss-free reunion!! I love those top-down shots - all it needs is one of the cats or dogs for perspective

What a PITA about the fleas though  Definitely hope that's resolved quickly!

For an idea of scale, the bowl Filly is sitting next to (the small white one) is about 4 inches across. :))

Oh I'm so happy! So glad they are doing better!

Ugh.... Fleas are my worst enemy tho! They only bite me! No one around me!

I'm so glad they are all doing better...I know you were really worried there for a while.

Now Filly is better, she has turned into a he. A rather unremarkable boy, but a boy nonetheless. So I suppose Filly is now Colt!
