I have learned from this forum that cut is everything, and that color and clarity of lower grades than D-F and IF-VVS2 are acceptable. OK. I am trying to understand the fine difference between two "best cut" diamonds. Please tell me which one is a better buy in terms of quality and price?
Both diamonds are WF''s ACA round.
Diamond #1 - 2.383 CT, H color, VS2, 60.9% Depth, 56.5% Table, 34.8 crown angle, 40.7 pavilion angle, HCA=1.1 Ex, medium to slightly thick girdle, pointed cutlet, negligible florescence, AGS spec, ideal cut/symmetry/polish, price $26,400
Diamond #2 - 2.22 CT, G color, VS2, 62.2% Depth, 56.4% Table, 34.7 crown angle, 40.9 pavilion angle, HCA= 1.8 Ex, thin to slight thick girdle, negilgible florescence, AGS spec, ideal cut/symmetry/polish, price $29,900
For the Idealscope and ASET images, please refer to WF website.
I do not know to tell from the hearts and arrows images, but I think diamond #1 is better (meaning more sparkling). Am I right about my interpretation of the images?
