For any Pricescopers in Australia, the Special Buys at ALDI tomorrow include an ultrasonic cleaner. It looks fairly decent, though I'm no expert. I'm planning to buy one while they're in stock; any tips for making the best use of it?

Cool... I would just say the most important thing to know is which gems can and cannot be cleaned in an ultrasonic. For instance... diamond and corundum (that is not clarity enhanced) - yes... emerald and opal - no. I also avoid using ultrasonics on pave set melee, because it can loosen the stones. Always check to make sure everything is tight and secure before and after. Enjoy!

I was gifted this ultrasonic for my birthday a few years ago from my kids and it’s great! Hope I don’t jinx myself but it’s working well.
I’m pretty sure it has 3 years warranty, if you can get your hands on it, I would give it go.
