Ahh! Future Fiance purchased a diamond!

So I am a planner by nature. I am an event planner by profession. So naturally i had to be involved in the purchase of something that i will wear for a very long time

My boyfriend of 6 years -future fiance

- just purchased a diamond! It arrives next thursday and i am so excited! If the diamond is up to par next step is to search for a setting and then sit and wait. The actual proposal timeframe etc will be left up to my hunny So it could be 3 months, 6 months or a year...the planner inside me might die of impatience!

I imagine that you''re very excited to begin the process of searching for the setting of your dreams so that your fiance may begin planning an engagement moment.

So how does an event planner approach the concept of planning her own wedding? Will you plan the wedding yourself or hire a wedding planner to do it for you?

Thanks for all the well wishes! I am dying to see it. BF will let me see it when we go to get it appraised if he is pleased with the diamond which should be next thurs. I will definately snap some pics!

I am all over the place with settings. However, i really like memoir settings. But i have issues with the prongs. They are very rigid and i was hoping for a softer curve to the prongs. But i love how it looks when you are looking down at a memoir ring...just not from the side. We will most likely have a custom setting made.

As for the planning of the wedding...I will plan the wedding myself until day of....day of i will probably enlist a professional so i am not running around wanting to check lighting, audio decor...because i''ll want to lol
