AGSL Light Performance Map Question (RB 1.7 H VS2) HCA 1.3

Hello,

I'm thinking of purchasing a RB 1.7 H VS2 and something about the light performance map is keeping me from pulling the trigger. It looks like the symmetry of the map is off almost like someone took the middle of the diamond and twisted slightly. I'd really appreciate second opinions

the aset image looks turned compared to the diamond drawing. the green-grey area I think is your cloud at 7 o clock . Ask for an actual image, this is a big stone to be considering without some aset images, photos, and even another ideal scope thats not on the cert.

I just sent an email asking for more information. Is it common for online vendors to be able to provide such certs? The diamond in question is from Soloman Brothers - I believe they just have virtual inventory?

No, only a few vendors supply this information. That being said, I think you are fine with an AGS0. You can always order it loose and take it to an appraiser within the return period before you get it set.

There is nothing to worry about w/ the map. It is a simulation - they take a 3D scan of the stone and simulate viewing through an ASET scope (scope perpendicular to the girdle plane just like you'd actually use it IRL). It's not always a perfect representation, but then that's the nature of simulations - or any tools for that matter - you can't count on them to consistently capture every single detail and nuance, and because of that inherent uncertainty you also can't use them to decipher and compare those super-fine details. What the map is good for is to give you the bigger picture, to give you an idea of the "type" of look and light return that you can expect (everything looks fine), to tell you if there might be something wildly off (there isn't) - it's another tool to help you determine whether the stone is worth inspecting (it is).

Ok, they sent me more information and quit quickly! Unfortunately no IS image but they did send a Sarin report and an actual photo of the stone. If someone could give it a quick eyeball and let me know if it looks alright it would be great appreciated.
