AGS still grading cut for Fancy Shapes?

Just decided to go around looking at AGS cut grading of EC stones. Only found 2, both on BN. The most recent stones is this stone. In the report it said that AGS is in the process of reviewing fancy cut grading. Is that only affecting EC and OC or is PR stones grading also affected? I also notice a lack of recent AGS0 graded PR.

Just interested to know, if anyone has any ideas on this.

I don''t know for sure, but I had heard that they were developing ideal standards similar to their ideal princess for other fancies...but this was just a rumor I heard awhile ago...

this could get complicate/messy: fancies are so much eye of the beholder. a perfect example are Emerald cuts: the ideal ratio is more or less 1.5 yet the asscher craze in the last ten years created a market for fatter EC''s..................

Only a few cutters picked up the AGS princess line they are much more prominent on PS than elsewhere.
No one has adopted the AGS SE/EC its a total flop.

People don''t purchase emerald cuts for light performance. They love the shape and broad flashes, but they also like the dark zones and less "in your face" subtle nature of an emerald cut. Defining every shape by what makes a round diamond "click" is not a magic bullet. If one day a few Hollywood actresses all decide they will wear big emerald cuts, just watch the herd go in that direction. In a flash, we will see a standard such as the AGS has researched, become of far more interest to Pricescope and other smart diamond shoppers. Fashion and trends really have a deep effect on what is in demand. It could take today''s "flop" and turn it into a large success. It isn''t like the science was faulty.
