I am looking at an AGS 000 SI1 stone that mentions on the certificate that
" green marks indicate external blemishes" it is hard to see on the pc screen but there seems to be a green circle (cloud) in the 10''oclock position, not too big, but definately there in the certificate.

I havnt seen the stone, but have been assured by the vendor that it is eyeclean at 10 inches from top and sides, but at 6 inches really good eyes can see inclusions.

So I havnt actually come accross external blemishes - do i run a mile, there are other stones to choose from iykwim, from the same vendor.

hmm, really have no idea, but at face value, your diamond having surface blemish cant be good?

thanks for all your help as usual, I sem to have a few questions at the moment, as I am ready to pull the trigger so to speak

Easy Peasy.

Look at the gem. You like, keep. You don''t like, don''t keep.

Wink

P.S. Pretty sure this is NOT one of mine, but either way the advice stands.

Thanks wink

Are there any durability factors involved? It just sounds so bad - external blemish

, but if it is really nothing to worry about per se, than that is fine.

I am in australia, so the whole return thing is a real hassle unless absolutely necessary.

thanks

What exactly does it say concerning this blemish, does it mention it is a natural and is it located on or near the girdle, or other type of blemish? Naturals aren't normally an issue if thats what it is but check with the vendor and if you could tell us exactly what it is that would be helpful.
