Hello,

For a moment I thought I had found the perfect stone for a project I''m working on, but after some research and reflection it turned out to be an error on the AGS report. I thought it was too good to be true and it was!! The vendor is returning the stone to the labso it can be graded correctly.

If I''ve attached the file correctly here''s a picture of the report.

And....what was the problem? All I see is the report, is it something obvious from the report, or did an appraiser come up with the faux pas?

I''m not positive, but should the clarity be a 5 for a VS2?

Hello Icelady,

I should have pointed out the error more clearly.

The stone is listed as 0.333 ct weight, but the measurements are shown as 6.08 x 6.11 x 3.70.

If the measurements are correct the stone is really up around 0.833 ct weight.

Only the new grading will show whether it is the the carat weight or the measurements that are incorrect

This is probably a stupid question, but couldn''t the stone be weighed?

Hello Nerdbot,

I should imaging it could be weighed or measured to show which specification is incorrect, but either way the existing report is no good.
I''m assuming it is being sent back to the lab so it can have a correct report printed.

I have heard about several "off" reports lately......they''ll fix it, though!!! Just takes some time.....

The transition to the new grading reports will understandably cause a few bumps. Though that document is from several months ago they have been double-tasking for some time.

That one is easy its the new breed of hollow diamond cut like a donut just for lady cops.
