AGS Ideal help needed please!!!!

I have an AGS Ideal 2.17 J VS2 diamond on it''s way to me. I am not at all familar with the girdle measurements. I have only ever bought GIA diamonds before and they always say med. - slthk or something like that. The girdle is 1.3 to 3.6. Is that anything for me to be nervous about? What does is mean?

Look here.

Medium to Slightly thick (1.7% to 4.5%).

No need to worry, it is AGS graded.

Thanks Stone-Cold 11! Mine is 1.3 - 3.6. So does that mean thin to slightly thick? It still sounds good doesn''t it? Thanks Again!

ya, sorry, got the range wrong. But girdle as long as the variations are not in the extreme, you are good.

In this case definitely no problem.

Its absolutely fine - no worries! The girdle is in the thin to medium range - spot on! It sounds like you have bought a smashing diamond BTW!

Hi Lorelei! I was hoping you''d chime in! I feel awful I never got to post my FIC yet. I am terrible with the camera and even worse with the computer. I tried to have my husband help, but the pictures were too big.

I haven''t bought it yet, my jeweler will be getting it on Thurs., I won''t see it before next week as I am going out of town for the weekend and she is 200 miles from me. I am so excited, she has never had AGS diamonds before. I am very hopeful since it is an AGS ideal that there won''t be any worries.
When I jumped from my 1.50 to the 1.85 FIC last summer it was a nice jump , but I really think the 2.17 will be wonderful. I hope all is well with you. I am still here lurking every day, enjoying all of the eyecandy and learning more on this awesome forum.

You are most welcome! How are you getting on with the FIC?? You could always send any good pics of it to admin and they can resize and post if you like!

Are you keeping the FIC and getting this one also, or is this an upgrade?

I am doing fine thanks, still keeping busy here as you have probably noticed! Good to know you are still here my dear!
