You may have a clerical error; both links are I believe to the J.

Though the authors of this study may have trouble, I''d be slightly sympathetic to the J, though it would just be a guess.

Regards,

Okay the link I foudn doesnt lead to those numbers...however I was unable to find that stone on WF. Could you please post a link to it. Or where you found it on their web page?

Are you aware that the J stone is listed as $6199 for PriceScope shoppers (make sure you mention PS and ask for the discount). If the other stone is through WF as well, it will also be discounted, but as others have said, I couldn''t find it listed anywhere.

Have you seen the H stone? The diameter is 7.07 by 7.20, whereas the J stone is "tighter" (7.12 by 7.14). The HCA assumes a diamond is symmetrical, but the EGL cert says "good" and the numbers suggest it probably isn''t.

I vote for the J for its measurements and AGS cert over the questions of the H, unless you''ve seen the H and know you love it. There''s a 1.33 H VS2 AGS0 selling for almost $8k on PS, so assume that something isn''t up to that caliber with this EGL stone, whether it''s the color, clarity, or cut.

If you are worried about the J, I would consider going slightly smaller or lower in clarity to bump up to H or I, but still make cut your number one concern.

The link is only for the whiteflash diamond, and they are going to send me the pictures. But please look at the Sarin and the Idealscope pics. I don''t have a link to the first stone as it is from a local jeweler. Whiteflash did quote me the pricescope price

Personally I would favor the J...but that is just me!

Chances are that the J is the better cut stone--the EGL stone is also approaching "out of round" status./...BUT, if you are uncomfortable with the J color, then wait and look for a new stone...

In my experience the H&A diamond will appear more brilliant, regardless of the color difference. The ideal polish and symmetry grades combined with the steeper crown angle go a long way to masking the J color. I believe that if you put the diamonds side by side, face up, you would not see a color difference but you would most likely see the H&A as a more brilliant diamond.

Having had a non-ideal stone vs one...I highly recommend the ideal stone even if it is a J...I adore my J and it''s sparkly as all heck!
