I was reading this thread
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/ags-dqd-grading-reports-old-and-new.45611/

Does the Diamond Quality Document and Report come standard when the diamond is sent for certification?
If not, which is the standard and which comes at an additional cost?

I notice that AIG certificates "do not include as much " as the AGS reports. eg those colourful aset (?) images
Am I right or wrong? If i am right, why is it so?

DQD is the one that is more stringent and so comes with an additional cost. Depends on the vendor/cutter of the stone. They might think a stone is capable of getting an AGS0 in the cut grade and sent to AGS but if it didn''t get it, they can just request a DQR instead. Not all DQD has the computer generated ASET image, that is an additional feature, not always requested by the vendor.

GIA uses a proportion based cut grading system, same as AGS DQR, but different proportions for what they consider as Ex cut grade. Also, AGS invented the ASET for their cut grading, not sure if some rivalry, propriety issue is involve here.
