AGS..., do they identify OMC/B or OEC on their reports?

I noticed on the latest AGS ''Fancy Cut Grading'' CD that was issued at the Luxury and JCK Vegas 2007 a scintillation example for an OEC (Old Euro Cut).

I was wondering if anyone on PS ever noticed or saw an AGS report identifying the shape and cutting style of either an Old European Cut
or Old Mine Cut/Brilliant.

Do AGS issue reports for Old-Mine Brilliants as the GIA does?

I do not have answers for you, officially - but I have seen a stone that looked very OMC to me with an ags cert calling it a "cushion brilliant". It had high crown, large culet so I seriously doubt it could have been a cushion brilliant under GIA but honestly - who knows what criteria they use anyway.

The scintillation example was basically an example to show the current status of their scintillation-research.

I do not know whether and how they grade such a stone, when it would come into the lab.

I have never seen one yet...

But I cant imagine why other Labs. would categorize OMC''s and OEC''s..., and AGS wouldn''t!

They do differentiate between OEC and OMC. They''ve just not graded an abundance of these makes.

I see alot more OEC diamonds than OMC diamonds day-to-day in the appraisal world.
Many OEC diamonds are often called Old Mine Cuts because some folks don''t understand the
difference. Some are borderline (transitional) cuts and are tough to call.

Does or can anyone attach an example of an AGS report on a OMB/C or OEC please?

There is no one on this forum that can produce an example of an AGS/OMC/OEC grading report?
