AGS cut grade

I remember reading somewhere that the AGS grade is determined by the lowest scoring grade even if it only appears once. For instance if all your proportions score a 0 or a 1, and one proportion is a 2, then your grade is AGS 2. Is that true?

Correct, but not quite.

The lowest score on proportions defines the grade on proportions. this can be ideal (0), excellent (1), very good (2), or lower.

In the same way, a grade is given on polish and symmetry, also ranging from ideal over excellent, very good, and lower.

Then, the lowest of these scores defines the cut-grade, ranging from 0 to 10.
