I purchasing a ring and the lady only describe it a a .42 rd AGS 0 cut grade clarity is 5 and color is 4.5 now does this mean its an Si-1 or 2 L color stone? Anyones input appreciated
No problem. GIA's scale for color and clarity is most commonly used in the business: DEF etc for color, FL IF VVS1 VVS2 etc for clarity. AGS uses a 0-10 scale in addition (the GIA descriptors are typically included as well).
