This is my first post to this site but I''ve utilized the tutorials and various topics here for the last few months in my search for a ring. I''m happy to say I''m near the end of my search.... after viewing many stones, websites and person-to-person review of rings. I welcome any feedback on these stones as I believe they are my final candidates:

Stone # 1:
1.51 carat - Round - GIA Cert
7.34 x 7.42 x 4.58
Depth: 62.1%
Table: 56%
Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick, faceted
Culet: none
Polish & Symmetry: Both Very Good
Clarity: SI1
Color: D
Fluor: None
No Eye Visible Inclusions

Stone # 2:
1.53 carat - Round - AGS Cert
7.41 x 7.45 x 4.58
Depth: 63.6%
Table: 56%
Polish/Sym/ Prop: All Ideal
Clarity: SI1
Color: E
Fluor: Negligible
No Eye Visible Inclusions

I''ve requested Sarin and Ideal Scope pics for both. Stone 2 is ~$2200 more price wise.

Thanks in advance for any commets.

Both look like candidates at this time - but we will wait till you have the additional data.
The AGS cert will have the angles for use in HCA

any other comments / reviews on the stones? Or other questions I need to ask or data I need to gather? I''m planning to visit the jeweler within the next few days. thanks again. this feedback is very helpful.

Honestly, I''m not terribly fond of either stone based on what you''ve posted.

Stone #1 appears to be approaching out of round with the variance of 7.34-7.42mm.

Stone #2 appears deep at 63.6%.

Thanks for the feedback. I incorrectly entered the depth for stone # 2. I corrected it; it should have been 61.6%. I ran stone # 2 on the Holloway and it scored 1.3. I''m waiting for the sarin results on Stone # 1 to be able to run the Holloway on that stone.

aljdewey you mentioned that stone 1 may be out of variance. What would you recommend as the max variance for a round?
