I can''t give you a defnite answer without seeing them myself, but if the price difference is $15K, well that''s a lot of money that could be better spent on other things (house, kids college fund, trips, etc).
Well, you should probably post this on RockTalky, You''ll get more info.
Secondly, if you are like most people, this won''t be the only one. You''ll see more, like more and want more as years go by. Your taste will change. Plus, if you be more practical with the first, you''ll be able to afford upgrades, RHR''s and other jewelry, in general. Although money may not be an issue here. But some people just don''t feel like they should have more when they''ve spent a lot on one, just a matter of principle.
H is a great color and truthfully speaking when you buy a premium color, you are paying a lot for something that will only bother you if you''re comparing it to a whiter diamond side by side. I doubt that anyone else would ever notice.
JMO, something to think about. Premium quality is great but not really necessary to get a beautiful diamond and save some $$$ for other things.
$15k is a ton of money to pay for a non-overwhelming difference, IMO. I understand what you''re saying about the psychological boost of knowing you''ve got the best, but, and I realize this may not be everyone''s opinion here on PS, that money could provide a nice boost to your savings together, your house, your anniversary trips, your kids, your kids'' college funds, etc. I don''t know your financial situation, but for me that money would be better spent elsewhere. It sounds like you are getting a fabulous ring either way, so try to keep your perspective without getting hung up on the details. Easier said than done.
