The girdle on the JA diamond ranges to very thick so that would not be desirable to me. So I would prefer the ACA's over this one for sure. Did you want the ACA pedigree in particular?

Oh gosh! Which would I pick....two superb rocks and this is COMPLETE hairsplitting you understand, but I would pick number 2 due to the girdle - but flip a coin - you would be ecstatic with either!!!

I am thinking of something sleek and simple, like the classic Tiffany four claw though my friend has been encouraging me to go for the six claw design.

I personally think tht six claw may complicate the diamond as there will be two too many distractions.

What do u think?

Four versus six prongs is a personal preference. I also prefer the look of four like you do, because I think it highlights the center stone better and is less metal. I''d get what you want and don''t worry about your friend.
