advice, please

I am browsing different websites in search for a pair of matching spessartines to use as side stones for my sapphire. I never bought from Gem Select and can not gauge the colors of their stones in photos. Can you help me, please?

Just an idea - which of these lots would look more classic mandarin (color-wise) IRL?

I think it would be the first lot. Just in case, I decided to buy both. They have good return policy and I can always use the other stones for a bracelet or something else.

Crasru, forgive me if you posted it and I don't remember, but what color is your sapphire? What are its dimensions? Pics please if you have them. For what its worth, my observation of the stones you bought is that the first set have a strong yellow component, and the second set are more the flame color with a red modifier. All of them are beautiful though.

The sapphire is dark-blue, and the dimensions are 8.24 x 6.2 (I do not remember the depth off the top of my head). It is oval. It is not so much about the cut as about the color, and I wanted orange melee but could not find calibrated spessartites of 1.3 - 1.4 mm. So I opted for two side stones but if it does not look nice, I was thinking of a cross with spessartites around the central blue stone. Something like it.

If its dark blue I think the set with the yellow component will look best. Guess you'll just have to post pictures when it all arrives!
