I have been bitten... by the pave bug... after hours of *LUSTING* over the beautiful wedding bands on PS! I just reset my ering (which you'd think would calm that beast inside... but who are we kidding??? It just fuels it, like a fire! ) so now I'm craving a pave style band to join my new friend on my finger. Must point out - fingers fluctuate. Yeah, I know they should remain the same, but mine argue with me all the time about how long lovely and thin I want them to be... and they usually win and end up puffy pudgy and short. Damn fingers....

So in addition to my reset, I always wear my original YG Wband. In its original state, it had a Tiffany knife edge, but 26+ years later, that's just become a "hump" not an "edge". (kinda like what's happened to the rest of me, but lets not go there! ) I figure a 2mm wide band, at the most, is suitable. Only want to have a 1/2 eternity band and I am not too fussy on the tcw, but want the sparkle to compliment not compete with my main ring.

Not totally sold on the curved look, but not closing that door yet - I prefer the straight profile that would allow me to play with future additions, if I ever decide to do a stacked look, but I'm open...

Price point is between $400 - $1000, so there is flexibility.

Prefer WG but already noticing my rhodium plating has started to disappear and now my ring looks like it is turning gray :errrr: I've only worn it for 2 months at the most! Toying with the notion of YG to match my Wband, or rose gold (just cuz I like it) but probably going to stick w the WG.

Here are the few  I've narrowed it down to (and to a PSer, I'm sure you can appreciate that to get under 10 is "narrowed down"!)

Long chat with Stephanie of JA yesterday and she was AMAZINGLY helpful!

If any of you wise diamond lovers have other suggestions, I'm open to them! This is not a birthday or Christmas gift, so it is not time sensitive (other than to calm the diamond beast that lives within us all).

I'm also attaching my set so you can see what I'm working with.
Thanks so much everyone for your thoughts and any other ideas I haven't mentioned!

See - to be at 4 choices, that's some serious progress!
Any ideas PS'ers??

I'd call and ask Yekutiel which he recommends for a pricescoper. He's got a good eye and knows how fussy we can be.

Thanks Gypsy! I've already sent him an email... (keep hitting refresh/refresh/refresh... 8) ) asking about my 2 options and also sent him a photo of my ring. I know - its Sunday and I'm just too eager - but I have faith he'll have some suggestions for me. What a great way to spend the day - browsing what I call "diamond p*rn" :naughty: :D

Currently in the dumps about the colour of how the metal has changed, at least the fantasy and hope of a new trinket is keeping me afloat! Ah, the happiness a diamond brings

Have you thought about getting your ring rhodium dipped again? I know it's only been a few months, but from what I understand WG can react differently to people's body chemistry/skin and for some it can wear off the plating faster for some.

Hi Amy, yes, I have a message in to the jeweller who made the ring and have sent photos. Next will be to meet with them and see what the recommendation is. I love the white white of the rhodium plating, but if this is what my chemistry is going to do to all WG rings, I think I may have to learn to adjust to the discolouration.

I could go one or two rounds of redipping, but after that, I may have to 'go gray'... kind of like my hair when I'm a few weeks over my hair appointment!

I'm a sucker for baguettes, so that definitely gets my vote!
Second choice would be this one you like at ID jewlery

I'm not really feeling the two JA rings you posted because there seem to be large gaps between the diamonds when you view the profile.
not sure if it's just the images that make them look like that though.

Found this little lovely on the Stuller site... yummy!!
http://www.stuller.com/products/10920/1000020534/?groupId=1580 (but in 18K Palladium WG) Love the baguettes!

Found this little trinket as well...http://idjewelryonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_27&products_id=11083

Did a Costco run tonight and had the chance to try on the micro pave band then a thicker 7 stone ring (just cuz it was sparkling at me and MADE me try it on... I didn't want to... it just leapt out of the locked display case and threw itself onto my hand - I was helpless to resist its power!) and discovered I prefer the 1.5 - 2mm wide bands. Too much 'business' going on if its any wider, at least on my hand.
