Advice Please on 3 carat round gia diamond

Please help me assess which is the better stone for my pending diamond upgrade. I was looking for a 3.5 carat stone... I feel like the 3.3 is a bit smaller than I wanted but the quality seems to be clearly better than the 3.51 stone. Is there that much of a difference? If not, I am leaning toward going for size, although is a .21 carat difference really even noticeable at this size range? Also, I am told by jewelers and this site that med flour and below does not affect diamond quality... do you agree? I am exhausted from all of this diamond research... I have been lurking and watching diamonds in the market in this size range for months and need to make a decision!! Thanks in advance for your time.

Id go with the 3.3

The table is a bit too large on the 3.5, and since you did already mention there are a bit more inclusions than you would prefer on the 3.5 that would be an automatic No... Like the famous quote on here... "Harder to find a mind-clean stone"

And no I don''t think a .21 size difference is noticeable on that size stone... I have a 3 and my other friend has a 2.5 and a friend that saw both our rings thought they looked the same size, size BIG

Ditto.

And ditto to the size difference not being noticeable at this size. Go for cut quality, which so far is the first one.

3.3 carat
crown 34.5

3.51 carat
crown: 35

I have only seen the 3.3 in person and not the 3.51... I have been judging the inclusions on the 3.51 by its GIA pic.

Thanks everyone for your input. Are you sure the med flour is okay? In person I cannot tell at all. However, when I had considered trading in my 1.7 carat FSI1 stone (with faint flour) in the past for my upgrade, a jeweler told me the faint flour was a big knock on the stone.... just from the GIA report.

I think I am ok with the med flour from everything I have read and since I do not plan to sell my diamond in the future... just curious what others think.

The first one defintely has the better C/P combo. While we can''t truly know what they are, as GIA rounds their numbers, it could very well be a very pretty stone, and it''s definitely the better cut of the two.

I am assuming this is at a local jewelers, where an Idealscope pic would not be available?

Yes.

And that jeweler is full of, baloney. Faint flo is nothing. Strong to very strong is what might affect the stone, and those cases are truly rare!

Sometimes fluorescence--medium or higher--makes the diamond look bluish or purplish in sunlight. I love that look, but you might not, so make sure you look at the stone in strong sunlight before you buy it.
