Just realized how big those pics are, sorry.
Went to the vet today. He said he has never had a case where the cancer was treated quickly and aggressively become dangerous, but he has also never had a case where the growths did not continue to come back if not treated. The good news is that it is about mid tail so he won't have to worry about it having already spread past that point. We have made the appointment for the surgery for Friday. I just want to have it done and not keep worrying about her and if we are making the right decision, even though we are. Terrible as it sounds, it would be so much easier if she were in pain. We would be helping her and she would understand we did something to make her feel better. I am going to try and get the day off work and I really do like and trust the vet. I suspect this is much harder on her mama then on her. We are going to get lots of pics of her with her semi shaved tail tomorrow night and I will post again Friday afternoon once we have her back home. Thank you again for advice and well wishes, it is so hard making a big decision like this for someone who has no input, even when it is right. Plus, Maggie LOVES attention, even from people who can't actually pet her.
