What do you think of this stone?

It is sure to be spectacular...and huge!! Very wise of you to go with I color and ideal cut. The 40x zoom shows that it''s a pretty eye-clean stone, though it''s still prudent to ask a WF gemologist to eyeball it and let you know the specifics about the inclusions. What are you planning to set it in?

I want to put it in a platinum setting, something simple. Do you think I would see any color in the I? My last stone was a G, so I am a little nervous I will be able to see the difference if I purchase an I. Also, my last stone was a 1.5, and I am worried that a 2ct will show more of the color, but I have also heard that if superideal cut, an I stone will face up white. I am really excited to be looking for a new stone!

That diamond is SUPERB!!! Fantastic choice

I am thinking you have more than one thread with this stone, because I feel like I have already commented on it! You do need to be sure about the color I. I think Demelza right now is condsidering trading her large (2 ct +) beautiful stone because she is unhappy with the I color. I''ll see if I can find the thread for you. With your budget, I see no real reason to go below G-H VS.

Yeah..this is getting confusing!! I just commented on other thread!!!
Anyway they can be put together???

She could edit her first post here and give the link to the new thread and ask people to stop posting on this one maybe?

here''s the link to the correct thread..

Colour is in the eye of the beholder. Demelza is unhappy with her I colour, but many who have them love them in the larger diamonds, and also the J owners too, it depends on the individual perception. I is where the industry believe the untutored eye begins to perceive colour, but only you can answer if going lower on colour is the right trade off to get more size. You also need to decide in person and in different lights, do you have a jeweller anywhere near who has similar cut and graded diamonds in that size you could compare to?
