SARIN REPORT FROM AGS DIFFERS WITH(JUST DONE): 5.28X5.32X3.28,TOT.DEPTH:61.9,TABLE:56%,CRN 15.1%;34DEGRESS,PAV 42.8%; 41.2DEGREES,CULET 0.8%. HCA RANGES FROM EX''S (1-2),TO VG(3.0 NOTHING HIGHER). THE SETTING IS HALO OR BOXTER TYPE, SQ. IN SHAPE, CENTER IS 4 PRONGS NOT BEZEL,WITH LOW WALL(?) BETWEEN PRONGS,EACH CORNER HAS SMALL ROUND,IN BETWEEN EACH ROUND IS A BAGUETTE(SET LOWER), CENTER STONE IS SET SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN LITTLE ROUNDS. ALL 14K YG, BEAUTIFUL & DIFFERENT SETTING. I WORRY ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE IN STATS FROM SARIN & GIA REPORT, WILL THERE BE TOO MUCH LIGHT LEAKAGE IN THIS STONE? PLEASE ADVISE THANKS

The stats from AGS will be more accurate as GIA rounds their numbers. So, if I input those numbers, it scores a 3 on the HCA.

It doesn''t fall into AGS ideal range, but is still in GIA excellent range, so should still be nice. Just not a top cut.

Does he have a return policy? If so, we could maybe find something that is cut a little tighter?

On the other hand, maybe you daughter is happy with the stone? If she loves it, I guess that''s all that matters.

It is certainly a lot better than it could have been! At least he went with GIA excellent! We are all spoiled here with the top of the top cut stones, but since the stone has already been purchased, I would not worry about it. If it was a "good" cut, we''d probably say "take it back"!!! But I wouldn''t sweat a GIA excellent in that size stone if it was given to my daughter (and I am super picky when buying my own stones).

MY MAJOR CONCERN IS LIGHT LEAKAGE IN THIS TYPE OF SETTING AND ALSO "RING OF DEATH" IS LIGHT LEAKAGE A GLASSY LOOK? ARE THERE ANY PICTURES OF AN ACTUAL STONE THAT SHOWS WHAT LIGHT LEAKAGE AND RING OF DEATH LOOK LIKE ON A SITE OR ON PRICESCOPE AND I JUST HAVEN''T FOUND IT? (PICTURE IN DAYLIGHT,NO SUN)
