what do you reckon on this ring folks?

thanks in advance,
Jim

It has potential, but without more info (which you can''t get from them), I''d definitely prefer one of the WF stones you are looking at.

p.s. Just a suggestion. If it''s a diamond you are looking at and wanting info on, please reference that in the thread. I almost posted to you without looking at the link that BN won''t sell settings seperately, because you called it a ring.

oops, meant to say diamond. Can you not get the info from the GIA cert, crown/pavillion angles etc?
cheers,
Jim.

GIA rounds their numbers, so without a Sarin report, we don''t know what they truly are. And more importantly, for me, buying sight unseen, would be an Idealscope image. They can''t give you that either.

The stones from WF are the creme of the crop (and come with all the important info). Also, you are comparing apples with oranges. If you wanted to try and find something more comperable, look at their (BN) AGS0''s.

ah ha. I''ll keep on looking then,
thanks again.

You''re welcome.

This one is one of their Signature Ideals and is H&A. They come with another grading report from GCAL which provides more information without rouding. It is ok for an SI to have GIA as "primary" lab. GCAL report shows C:34.6 P:40.9 T:57.0 D:61.9 which are all fine. The photo attached looks pretty good (normally they look more chaotic, particulary face-down, as they are not like IS/ASET). It appears a really nice diamond.

I would still choose among WF diamonds for obvious reaosns such as guaranteed quality/performance, trade policy, and consultation on diamonds you cannot expect from BN.
