Hello all,

I'm new here and have been lurking for quite a while. Such a great community! I decided to post because I would love to get your opinion. For our 10 year anniversary my husband is upgrading my .85 RB solitaire setting to a halo setting of my choice. I love the Ritani french cut cushion halo look. I went to a local jeweler and they have a very nice halo setting that I liked that was very similar to the Ritani. My wedding band has 4 pointers on it, so we decided to match that on the shank of the new setting. For the halo, the thought was to also go with 4 pointers as well, but after a few days of thinking on it, I panicked and now think that is way too big.

I'm not looking for a really delicate halo, but I don't want a cluster ring look either with a big halo. Should I go with 1 or 2 points instead? I want to main diamond to be the star and not become overwhelmed by the halo and at the same time I'd like to look down at the ring and see the individual diamonds in the halo as well. The halo diamonds are secured by 4 tiny prongs too. It's been a chore to find good examples on the internet, but I may just need to go into the store and have them show me the differences in size.

Thanks!

Based on the size of your center stone I would go with 1 pointers if you research here you will see that's the norm you don't want to take away from your center stone
