Hi everyone! I''ve been lurking for a few weeks now, ever since my fiance and I have started seriously hunting for a diamond for my e-ring. We very nearly fell for the HoF sales pitch. I''m really happy to have found PS!

I think I''ve found the perfect stone, but it''s so hard to know for sure since I can''t see it in person.

It''s a H&A diamond, F-color SI1, a little under .70 carats. We have a small budget so I''m not expecting perfection but I want to make sure there aren''t OBVIOUS problems with this diamond. The vendor sent me an actual photo of it, but there a couple of things about it I want to know.

1. Is the "blurry center" an issue or just bad photography? Most shots of H&A diamonds I''ve seen have very crisp centers.

2. The arrows don''t seem to line up very well but I can''t tell if it''s because the diamond was a little tilted when the pic was taken or not.

Any input would be incredibly helpful. We''re hoping to make a decision in the next couple of days. (a girl can only be so patient

Hi ceaphron,

I think it could be both on the issues you''ve noted. It definitely looks like something was tilted, by the looks of the arrows.

I would want to see a picture of the hearts, and possibly a better arrow shot if it were me, plus an IS pic.

We can give a better overall opinion if you want to post all the specs.

Ditto. Post the rest of the info if you have it so we can get a better idea, it looks like there could be a lovely diamond there.
