Hello,

I''m new to the board and was wondering if I could request your expertise on some diamonds (for engagement ring).
I have a budget that was given to me by my boyfriend, but if possible, would like to get a 1.5 ct round stone.
Below are specs on 4 stones that I''ve found. Do you think the last diamonds (1.5-1.6 ct) sacrifice too much with their specs? I''d like for the ring to have a lot of sparkle and am wondering if there will be a big difference to the naked eye. Thanks so much for your time!!!

-Stacey

Thanks for the advice- I''ll check out that site!

Actually, that cut tool is right here on the PriceScope site!

Of those, I''d have to choose #3 (from the info given). The size is wonderful at 7.6mm and the medium blue floro would be nice with an H stone. I like #1, but it is so much smaller than #3. #4 might be okay, but I would avoid the strong blue floro unless I could see the stone in person in various lighting.

Do you have anything else on these stones such as an idealscope image?

I would approach the 4th diamond with caution due to the steeper crown angle and the slightly steeper pavilion angle, also check that the strong blue fluorescence isn't a negative ( rare), but see if you can get IS images as that would be a very useful next step. Are these in house diamonds?

Cali on the top of screen of this forum, there is a diamond search, try an in-house search there for diamonds. I just purchased a 1.37 F SI1 Med Fluro yesterday from GOG. Both GOG and WF are highly recommended vendors here on PS. What I like about both of them, are that they show you alot of detail in pics about the diamond you are purchasing, so you are more aware of what you are getting. Also, personally GOG customer service has been fantastic. I dealt with Jon and Marie at GOG.
