Hi everyone! I have been a long time lurker and have learned so much from this site. My boyfriend and I have been searching for a diamond for the past few weeks and found one that seemed perfect. It was within our budget and the site listed it as an ideal cut. When we looked at the GIA certificate, it was graded as a very good cut although the specs would make it seem like an excellent cut. Under the diagram it said, "Cut grade affected by brillianteering." I have tried looking up what this meant, but I can''t seem to visualize how it would affect the face up appearance of the diamond. The other threads that I have come across made it seem like it could be good or bad, with many asking for the ideal scope image. Is it possible to tell whether or not it is a nice diamond based off of the specs and ideal scope image? I have listed all of the specs below so please give me your advice on this particular diamond and whether or not I should be wary of the brillianteering disclaimer. Thanks for all of your help!

1.06 carats H VS2
Cut: Very Good
Symmetry: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Depth: 60.1%
Table: 57%
Crown: 35 degrees
Pavillion: 40.8 degrees
Culet: none
HCA: 1.4 (Excellent for all four factors)

With that crown angle while it will give it a different look and the scintillation might be impacted slightly its not enough to say it is a bad diamond.
In some cases it can help with a slightly deeper pavilion but that combo doesn''t really need the help.
There are far worse diamonds that get the gia EX grade so it should be a nice bargain for a pretty diamond because of the VG grade.

From the IdealScope picture, you can see that it was cut with precision.
One of my diamonds, my EightStar, is similar to the one you''ve posted.
Some people prefer it to my other H&A, other will prefer the traditional H&A over this one.
My guess is that in this diamond, you will have bigger flashes of fire and less smaller flashes (pinpoint fire) than in another H&A.
I think it could be gorgeous.
