Thank you to everyone who gave thier opionions on the first diamond I''ll list. The consensus was that it was a great choice. I''m getting a ritani setting from a different vendor who suggested he send me some specs on similar stones in my price range. Since, the first stone is paid for but not shipped yet I figured I see what he had. His are better color but lesser clarity (not necessarily a bad thing from what I''ve read here) and slightly smaller. I have been assured that they are all eye clean. The specs he provided aren''t as detailed as the first stone.

My question i to the PS members is should I stick with the first stone or get one of his given the specs, color, size, and the price. He does not have idealscope images of the diamonds (the one shown is for the first stone) and the dimensions he provided were just the first two numbers. Thanks everyone i really appreciate it!

None of the other stones have enough information to make a determination. You need all the numbers you have on the first stone. A couple of them may certainly be as well cut, however, the one you have is beautiful and larger than all but one of those. So I''d stick with the one you already have. But what is it''s color and clarity?

The color on mine is H VS1.

Mine being #1. Sorry for the confusion.

Great! It should be beautiful!!! I would definitely choose it over the others because aside from cut and size, I''d rather have VS over SI for a ring stone.

Thanks DiamondSeeker

Is that everyone elses opinion too?

For the sake of my sanity, PLEASE take that .898.

Hi pittesq!

We do need the crown and pavilion angles with the other diamonds to be able to evaluate them for cut, so we can't offer any meaningful input unfortunately without them.

The first diamond you are considering looks great and is as we said before an excellent choice, if there was a well cut SI clarity, then personally I would have no problem considering it for a ring if the cut was excellent, but going by the info given, you may well be best in sticking with what you have.

I also vote to stick with the one you already bought. Beautiful!

Thanks everyone. Unless I got some new info that blows my mind I''ll stick with what I have. And for Mandieless''s sanity.
