Hi! I''ve been lurking since I got engaged in April and finally registered because I need some help. I''m having difficulty trying to figure out which kind of band I should get with my engagement ring. Its kind of unique and the band has detailing and seems pretty dainty on my huge hand. I want something that will shine and is unique, but nothing that will detract from the ring -- the fiance is proud of his purchase. Its a 1ct Asscher cut -- (I, SI1) with floating diamonds in the setting (.60tw, G, VS2) on either side of it. Yes, I know that the pics show that its crooked on one side, but we''ve gotten that fixed!

I''ve been looking at Bev K, plain bands, etc...I''m not really sure what''ll go with my ring. Thanks in advance!!

Have you considered moving our e-ring to your right hand? Then you can get whatever w-band for your left hand that you want.

I''ve never considered it till now. I think I''d prefer to keep it on my left.

Beautiful! I think I would get a pave band to match your ring shank as closely as possible, but I''d also consider putting a small flat spacer band between them.

This is what I would do. I think that a thin pave band would look gorgeous with your e-ring, but I would not want the side diamonds on your e-ring to chew away at your wedding band. Beautiful ring BTW!

This is something that just frustrates me to no end. Do designers give NO thought to how we'll wear a WB with their "work of art" ering??? Grrrrrrr...

Why can't they design something like this beautiful example but one-sided with the sidestones so one side is suitable to wear against a band?? It seems like common sense, but obviously, it is not. Only Martin Flyer appears to directly address the WB issue.

No offense, gentlemen, but it does appear that these designs are mostly done by men... they don't have to wear two rings. Can they really be so clueless, or are they only concerned with selling rings to other clueless men who haven't thought this thing through that far yet?

I think I''m going to take the idea of getting a small spacer band and then getting a pave. I''ll let you know how it turns out.
