I''ve been researching for a while now and I think I found a diamond I like but I just want another set of eyes (so to speak) to look at it. Here are the specs

Diam (6.91 -6.96)
Depth (4.16)
Depth 60.2%
Table: 58.5%
Crown Angle: 35.0
Pavilion Angle: 40.5
Girdle: 1.8% (medium, faceted)
Culet .6

Carat: 1.23
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Color: H
Clarity: SI1
Flour: None

HCA .7

The Certificate is from GIA. Appears to be a AGS1 because of the table.

I did''t want to pay for the diamcalc as I plan on only getting engaged once but I didn''t know if some of the local experts would be nice enough to let me know what they thought?

Thanks so much

BCrossman,

It''s always helpful to confirm with a visual marker...i.e., seeing it, using an idealscope, and such...but it looks sweet, based on what you''ve shown. I especially like that is is 4 excellents in the HCA. Also, not sure what that means when the box doesn''t show when you run the cut adviser...but no matter.

Wish you well, with what looks like a very promising choice.

The box corresponds to the old AGS0 set of proportions. It does not show here because the specs of the stone do not fit AGS0.

With just a couple on months until the new AGS0 grades hit the open, not sure if that is relevant anymore.

As far as I know, the 58% table will no longer be on the outside of the top grade, but other details introduced make it impossible to predict which stone will make the new gardes and which not. At least for me. Sellers should have their theory already

Ana, I don''t think that''s right. Go to the cut advisor, run the default paramaters, then redo, mofifying by just changing the crown to 33 degrees instead of 34. You''ll see both where this new configuration places, and that it is outside the box, still drawn.
