Advice on 2.08 RB AGS Ideal Stone - Please Help

Cert looks great, price is good. Who is selling it?

Don't buy unless there is a good return period, in writing, cash back for any reason. The clarity grade is based on additional clouds not shown on the report which is a big red flag to proceed with caution. The stone may be fine, but that note along with an SI1 grade makes it possible that the clouds affect the optics adversely. If the price is much lower than others you have been considering that is an extra red flag -- diamonds are priced what they are worth and if they are priced very low often there is a reason.

I am sure DS just missed that note or she too would have pointed it out! :sun:

Thanks everyone!

A broker friend is helping me find stones and I believe she found it on rapnet. I am not sure who is actually selling it though.

Thank you, Dreamer! Indeed I didn't look at the cert very closely!

We may be able to locate the stone for you. Lots of vendors may have it listed.

Yes, I saw that too and would definitely advise a solid return policy so that an appraiser has a chance to look at the stone to assess those comments.

I agree with Dreamer - things are usually priced the way they are for a reason - just tread carefully.

a well cut stone at a good price!! hummm...what's the catch? gotta be something?..

i got it...maybe $22K per ct? :!:

Thanks for the excellent advice... I will make sure to get it inspected and get a return policy in place.

I don't have actual pictures, but I will definitely see the stone in person before I pay.

I want to thank everyone again for all your help! My months long search has finally ended and I have bought the stone! It is a tremendous SI1, which may pass as a GIA VS2, but the color was just an average G. Now onto the band portion of my quest... I think I am going with a Mark Morrell Torchiere band!.
