Hi everyone,

I am doing some preliminary research on my upcoming ering 10 year upgrade and I really love the look of pave rings, particularly the danhov meno collection. However, I never take my rings off and the ring I will get will need to durable and was wondering if pave would therefore be an impractical choice. Just wondering if I could get some input from those who own pave rings and how it handles the wear and tear of everyday wear .. (hey that rhymes :)

thanks so much.

If you do a search on pave, it will bring up many threads about its wearability. Pave is not meant for an everyday ring. I would either choose a different style, remove it when doing house/yard work, or accept that the melees will drop out frequently and be ready to replace them.

I agree with Chrono. Pave is simply gorgeous, but not really a hardy 24/7 type of style. if you are willing to baby your rings a bit and don''t mind taking them off when doing activities like Chrono mentioned, I say go for it. just research designers etc. b/c all pave isn''t created equal. portia has a gorgeous danhov pave ring and hasn''t reported any problems. also, pave is known to have a lose a stone every now and then. some don''t mind at all and find the rist totally worth it, to others it''s a hassle. If i really fell inlove with a pave ring, i''d probably adjust my lifestyle so i could wear it and have it.

Thanks for your advice.. it''s funny how many times I''ve changed my mind as I''ve done more research. I thought this was going to be simple decision, but now that I''ve received tons of helpful advice from the web and forums, the decision gets much more complicated. Unfortunately, having two little children, my priority is to have a low maintenance ring, so I guess back to the drawing board for me. Fortunately, I have some time to look into various designs. Perhaps when the kids are older I''ll be lucky enough to get my pave.
